ADDRESSING REPOSTERS

HBG0005669

I have been receiving messages regarding reposts of my translations on Youtube, so I would like to address it publicly.

First of all, any of my translations that aren’t posted within my site have been reposted without permission/stolen.

Although it is very unfortunate to see, it is an almost inevitability when your work is publicly available to everyone. I may be a relatively new translator within the Drama CD circle, but as sad as it may sound, I went into this with the expectation that this will happen and will continue to happen.

Sometimes the reposter will at least include a credit, but other times, not even that. However, as a translator (as much as their actions may irk me), it is not within my power to take any real actions aside from a warning (as the copyright holders are ultimately the circles/labels that produce these CDs).

My translations will remain public and always will be, and my releases will continue on unaffected. At the end of the day, I know that the vast majority of people respect the time and effort translators put into their work, and aren’t lacking in principles like some people. I will not, as the saying goes, “let a few bad apples spoil the bunch.”

And of course, a big thank you to everyone who sends tip-offs to me! It does help in hopefully preventing from them reposting any further.

Thank you so much for your translations, and it is such a shame that people repost it without your permission. Your outlook is appreciated since it is inevitable, but thank you for continuing despite it!

    All the best to you!
